Anna Rae Reese, 84, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Monday March 4, 2024. She was born on July 27, 1939, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Neil and Sarah (Isenberg) McPhail. Anna had attended Life Church in Greensburg and was active in the community for multiple organizations, including the West Point Ladies Auxiliary, several veteran auxiliaries. She worked the polls for local politicians and volunteered for Hempfield School District. Anna worked for Bell Telephone and as a Nurse's Aide, in addition to being a homemaker. She found joy in being around her grandchildren and also loved cooking, baking and entertaining family and friends at her home. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing cards, listening to music and dancing. Anna is survived by her children, James Reese Jr., and his wife, Christine, of Rostraver Township, Carrie Reese, of Greensburg, Jeff Reese, and his wife, Leann, of Latrobe. Jason Reese, of Greensburg and Tim Reese, and his wife, Lesley, of Greensburg; her six beloved grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Anna is also survived by her siblings, Roberta Jean Trimmer, of Trauger, Sandra Elder, and her husband Joe, of Grapeville, Sally Baird, and her husband Joe, of Mt. Pleasant and Nila Clemens, of Greensburg, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Reese; her daughter, Cindi Reese; her grandson, Jeffrey Reese; her brothers, Baby Neil and Richard McPhail; her sisters, Karen McPhail, Connie McPhail and Evelyn Mae Pratt. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 8 from 11-1 PM, with a service to follow, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Marine Corps League.
