Irene Toomey

H. Irene Toomey, 89 years, of Youngwood, passed away on Saturday September 15, 2018 at Forbes Regional Hospital

She was born on Tuesday March 5, 1929 in Penn, PA , the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Bollinger) Gongaware .  

She was a member of St Lukes Lutheran Church-Youngwood

 She is survived by her husband John R. Toomey, three sons Keith E. Toomey & wife Beverly-Youngwood, John W. Toomey & wife Janet-Greensburg, Douglas R. Toomey & wife Emily Hooft-Toomey eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Besides her parent she is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Gaffney and Bernice Reidmiller

Friends will be recieved at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc, Tuesday September 18th from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.  There will be an additional viewing Wednesday September 19th at St Lukes Lutheran Church from 10:30 am-11:00 am.  There will be a service at 11:00 am at St Lukes Lutheran Church with Pastor Peter Nordby officiating. Interment to follow at Youngwood Cemetery.  Family suggests a memorial contribution to St Lukes Lutheran Church.
