Marian Bauman Neal, 85, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 3 at Walnut Ridge Memory Care. She was born May 3, 1933 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Simon and Esther Bauman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James H. Neal, her brother Jack Bauman, and her sister June (Bauman) Black. After graduating from Youngwood High School, Marian went on to work for Royers in Greensburg before starting her long career as an accountant at Charlie Brothers/SuperValu. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Youngwood where she spent many years in the choir. After retirement Marian loved spending time with her Giannelli’s lunch crew (Carole, Jean, and Pat) and her dear high school friends (Joan, Milena, Nadine, and Lucille). Marian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first. She is survived by her three children, Thomas J. Neal (Heather) of Tarrs, Pamela B. Todd of West Virginia, and Carol Neal Staines (Ed) of New Stanton; six grandchildren, Kris (Casey) Neal, Matt (Carley) Neal, Amanda (Joe) Pershing, Ashley (Chad) Ord, Mara, and Claire Staines, and four great grandchildren, Angelina, Gianna, Colton, and Harper. She is also survived by a beloved brother and sister-in-law Chester and Elfa Bauman of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to genuinely thank Walnut Ridge Memory Care and Redstone Hospice for their kindness, care, and compassion throughout her journey. At Marian’s request, there will be no public visitation and services will be private.
