Ruth Ann (Sheets) Sylvester

Ruth Ann Sylvester, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Armbrust, died Friday, August 17, 2018.  She was born July 30, 1940 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Ivan Henry and Anna (Walls) Sheets.  Prior to retirement she was employed by Westmoreland Hospital.  Ruth was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant and a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Youngwood.  Surviving are two sons, Raymond Michael Sylvester III and wife, Leslie, and Randy Paul Sylvester;  three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Reinhart and husband, Wes, Raymond Edward Sylvester and wife, Mandie, and Crystal Tippett and husband, TJ; four great grandchildren, Mason and Drew Reinhart, Samantha Sylvester, and Townshend Tippett; and a number of nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Mike" Sylvester; and a sister, Betty Shawley.  Friends will be received 6-8 pm Tuesday at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 South Fourth St, Youngwood.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday in Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with Rev. Richard J.
