Stephanie G (Glew) McEliece

Stephanie Gloria McEliece passed through the gates of heaven Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 at Red Stone Highlands at 76. She was born on May 16, 1942 daughter of the late Steve and Gloria Glew. She is proceeded in death by sister Yvonne (Glew) McEliece, son-in-law Bruce Kwaczala, and granddaughter Cari Nedrow. She is survived by her true love of 59 years John McEliece, her brother Steven Glew, her loving children John (Dawn) McEliece of Minnesota, Gloria (McEliece) Kwaczala of Texas, Connie (McEliece) Nedrow of Stahlstown, and Brian (Joy) McEliece of Greensburg as well as her 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Stephanie was most proud of her years driving bus 25 for the Hempfield Area School District. For only, being 5’ 1” her children believed that she could put the bus in most places people couldn’t fit a car. Stephanie’s favorite things in life were singing and playing with all of the children in the family, often singing her favorite song “I’m in Love with You Honey”. After retirement, she took pleasure in trying her luck at the casinos, talking and laughing with her cousin Janet.

There is a private viewing for the family at C.R. McCauley Funeral Home and the family will have a private gathering to celebrate Stephanie’s amazing glorious life.

As she is laid to rest it will be her loving husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren singing “We’re in love with you. Honey.”
