Adina V (Prejeslavschi) Focht

Adina V Focht, 53, of Penn Township, passed away on Sunday December 27, 2020 She was born on October 9, 1967 in Constanta, Romania, the daughter of Victor and Ludmila (Crehovetchi) Prejeslavschi. Adina graduated from Politehnica College in Bucharest, Romania. She studied in Paris and lived in London before moving to New York and Philadelphia, then Chicago, where she managed art galleries. She then moved to Pittsburgh where she attended Carnegie Mellon for a time. Afterwards she moved Connecticut while she worked for Traveler's Insurance and also Ace Insurance Company. Adina finally moved back to the Pittsburgh area (Jeannette). She married Stanley Focht on August 28, 2008 in Glastonbury, CT. Adina loved classical music, history, and the sea. She was an artist (painter) and also loved to prepare gourmet meals and host dinners. Ever since childhood, she loved to read. She became an award-winning, published author. The name of the book she wrote is Ghost Words and Other Echoes by Adina Pelle (her first married name). She was fluent in English, Italian, Romanian, French, and Russian. Adina courageously fought a battle with multiple sclerosis for the last years of her life. She and Stan were thankful for many happy years together. She is survived by her parents, Victor and Ludmila Prejeslavschi; Husband Stanley Focht; Son Andrei Pelle; Two Step-Daughters, Heather (Focht) Borchert and husband Dan and Katherine (Focht) Riley and husband Matt; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Todd and Janet Heathcote; seven step-grandchildren, Isaiah Borchert, Abigail Riley, Samuel Borchert, Karis Riley, Josiah Riley, Bethany Riley, and Anna Borchert, and her caretakers, Judy Vidovich and Lisa Cartwright. Due to the pandemic, a Virtual memorial service will be held on Saturday January 30 at 11 am EST.
