Albert F "Pete" Zajdel

Albert F "Pete" Zajdel, 90, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2025. He was born on February 17, 1935, in Greensburg, the son of the late Albert and Violet (Houck) Zajdel. Pete was a faithful member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Youngwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (Harr) Zajdel; his son, Michael Zajdel; his brother, Donald Zajdel and his sister, Angie Lunn. Pete is survived by his children, Fran Zajdel, of Greensburg and Leon Zajdel, and his wife, Marcy, of Greensburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob and Julianne; and his sister, Dolores Johnson, of Youngwood. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Mountain View Senior Living for the excellent care giving to Pete over this last year. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4-8 PM, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 1 PM in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 126 N 4th Street, Youngwood, with Pastor Peter Nordby officiating. Interment to follow in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
