Alva John Stinebiser, 67 of Youngwood, died Friday May 10,2024 at home. He was born August 17,1956 in Mt Pleasant. A son of Alva F. Stinebiser and wife Shirley of New Stanton and the late Mary Sue Zemba Stinebiser. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marines. He was an Eagle scout and volunteer for the Boy Scouts. He worked as a master carpenter for John Mann, Valesky Homes and Christopher Development before becoming a self-employed carpenter. He was a devoted husband and father and avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He is survived by his wife Nicole (Krozel) Stinebiser, three sons Shawn A. Stinebiser & fiancé Jessica Wiltsie-Irwin, Austin B. Stinebiser-Youngwood, Aidan C. Stinebiser-Youngwood, a grandson Landyn K. Stinebiser, a sister Denise Nelson & husband Tim-Greensburg, a brother Jeff Stinebiser & wife Kathy New Stanton, a brother Kevin Stinebiser & wife Krista-Youngwood, a sister Amy Poole & husband Tim-New Stanton, a sister-in- law Ann Stinebiser, mother-in-law Mary Lou Krozel Mt Pleasant, sister-in-law Kim Benca (Jeff)-North Carolina, brother-in-law Adam Krozel (Kathy)-Mt Pleasant and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother Francis Stinebiser and his father-in-law Richard Krozel. Friends will be received at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc, Youngwood Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8. a Blessing service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 11am, Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Kecksburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a food or other donation.
