Ashley N (Overly) Snyder

Our beloved Ashley Snyder, 39, of Youngwood, passed away unexpectedly on Friday. September 22, 2023. She was born on May 7, 1984, in Greensburg, to Ed and Lisa (DelPaine) Overly of Youngwood. Ashley was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School. After graduation she became a manager for McDonald's for many years. She was recently employed as a Clerk working for the Recorder of Deeds office in the Westmoreland County Court House. She truly enjoyed her Clerk job, but her best job ever was being Mom to her beautiful daughters. Ashley is survived by her beloved daughters, Jordan, Izabelle and Violet Snyder; her brother, Noah Overly; sisters, Kara Ungvarsky (Jason) and Christina Overly; her maternal grandmother, Joyce DelPaine; her ex-husband Nathaniel Snyder; aunts, Vickie (Blaine) Simpson, Diane Cortese (Bill O'Blak), Pam (Jeff) Prinkey and Stephanie DelPaine (Jefferson Hopkins). She is also survived by her cousins, who were like brothers and sisters to her. Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Janik; her maternal grandfather, Nick DelPaine; paternal grandparents, Harry and Jean Overly. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wed. Sept. 27, from 5-7 Pm., with a service to follow, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street. Youngwood.
