Clifford "Bud" L. Orner Jr, 85, of Youngwood, passed away on Sunday September 15, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, the son of the late Clifford Sr. and Estella (Wible) Orner. He was married to his loving and devoted wife Karol Sue (Gettemy) for over 60 years. Bud worked in the transportation industry for over 30 years. He was an all-around athlete, playing on the first football and basketball teams for Hempfield Area Senior High School (Class of 1957). He taught his children and grandchildren the value of hard work, as he was an amazing provider for his family. He highly valued respect and friendship treating everyone as if they were a part of his extended family. He enjoyed his family vacations to the beach, Steeler viewing parties, and golf matches all provided opportunities for his family and friends to spend time with him; now offering beautiful memories that will always be cherished. He had a unique combination of being a very strong man with the kindest and most loving heart. He would give all that he had for those he loved. Along with his wife, Bud is survived by his children Jeff Orner, of Youngwood, Greg Orner (DeAnna) of Michigan, Beth Biondi (Jim) of Greensburg, and Curt Orner (Amy) of North Huntingdon, along with his grandchildren, Ryan, Alec (Emily), Julia (Tyler), Jenna, Caden, Nathan, and Sara. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Donald) Hamilton. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Orner (Pearl Ann) and Richard Orner (Linda). In lieu of a public viewing, the family will honor his memory with a private service.
