Connie A (Panichella) Poole

Connie A. Poole, 80, of Greensburg, died Monday, July 26, in Walnut Ridge Memory Care. She was born November 13, 1940, in Greensburg, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Louise (Christopher) Panichella. She was a graduate of Hempfield High School, Class of 1958. She worked in the food service industry for 45 years with Jeannette Importing and Rinehart Food Service. Connie loved her job and created many special bonds with her customers and coworkers. She was a beautiful person inside and out and in 1963, at age 23, Connie was crowned Miss Jeannette. She loved clothes shopping and often told of how she would go to town every Saturday and buy a pair of shoes and matching handbag. Connie also enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. Connie and her husband, Curt, traveled many miles and many times across the United States on their motorcycles. She was a lifetime member of the National HOG Organization and a member of the Z&M Latrobe Chapter of Greensburg. Connie will be remembered by her warm smile and generous, giving heart. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jody Poole. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Curtis Poole; her sister, Joann Miller of Largo, Florida; nephew, Anthony Smith of Tennessee; brother John Panichella (Paulette) of Jeannette; sister Deborah Stofko (Gary) of Greensburg; four stepdaughters, Kelly Brinkman (Tom) of Pasadena, CA, Lisa Kern of Youngwood, Debra Scifo of Greensburg and Annette Yourish of Latrobe; sisters-in-law, Betty Burkley (Jerry) of York, PA and Gwen Stoner of Greensburg. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be recieved on Thursday, July 29, from 4-7 PM. in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30, at 11 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank. The family extends a special thanks to Heartland Hospice and Walnut Ridge Memory Care for all their help and compassion.
