David S Burkholder, 61, of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at UPMC East, in Monroeville. He was born on October 2, 1963, in Greensburg, the son of the Raymond and the late Phyllis (Forsythe) Burkholder. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School, Class of 1982. David was an avid car enthusiast, loved listening to music and hanging out with friends. He was employed at Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, a Life Member and former President at Fort Allen Fire Department, and a member of the Fort Allen Club. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond E. Burkholder and Gary Burkholder, and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey McMillen. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara McMillen and Carol (Rodney) Pittavino; nephews and niece, Shawn (Angie) McMillen, Matthew McMillen, Adam Burkholder, Alexander Pittavino, Michael (Tammy) Riggle and Kelly (Kurt) Miller; and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 4-7 PM with a fireman's service at 6:30, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 3, from 10 AM to the hour of the funeral service at 11, at the First Baptist Church, 1228 Brinkerton Road, Greensburg. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church.
