David Albert Sachs, 60, of Dennison, OH., formerly of Youngwood, passed away at his home on Monday, September 27, 2021, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born March 18, 1961 in Greensburg, he was a son of Connie Lou (Ross) Sachs of Greensburg and Harry Duane Sachs of Brownsville. Growing up in Youngwood, Dave was a 1979 graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a member of Youngwood Presbyterian Church. Throughout his life, he loved nature and time spent outdoors which led him to his long career in tree service. In 2011, he retired as Vice President of Asplundh. He loved traveling with his wife, hunting, and fishing, especially when sharing those experiences with his friends and family. On August 6, 1988, Dave married the former Debra Jean Thomas who survives him at their home. He is also survived by their children, Angela Young, Patrick Trimbach, and Andrew Sachs; grandchildren, Madison, Katherine, Alexander, Campbell, Brianna, Gabriella, and Haven; sister, Susan (Todd) Platt; brothers, Jeff (Linda) Sachs and Craig (Juan) Sachs; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Scott Sachs; nephew, Jason Sachs, with whom he was especially close; and beloved maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Albert Ross. A visitation will be held from 1-4 PM, on October 23, 2021, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
