Deborah J Zedek, 73, a devoted Christian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 11, 2025, after a short illness. She was born on June 10, 1951, in Martinsburg, WV., the daughter of the late James and Joan (Manspeaker) Staubs. She was a 1969 graduate of Lakenheath High School in England. Prior to retirement, Deborah worked for Menasha Corp. for 37 years. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg, where she served as a Diaconate, and on the Christian Women's Fellowship, Membership Committee, Outreach Committee and volunteered at numerous events. She also volunteered a couple days a week at the Christian Layman in Greensburg. In her free time, Deborah enjoyed sewing, going to camp with her friend Doris, her annual girls beach trip, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Deborah is survived by her children, Joseph Zedek, and his wife, Marlene, of Monroeville and Jodi Vas, and her husband, Joe, of West Newton; her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Washek (Meghan) and Alyssa Vas; her siblings, James Staubs, and wife, Peggy, of Kansas, David Staubs, and wife, Barbara, of North Carolina, and Patricia Reeves, and husband, Jon, of Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 14, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 11 AM in the funeral home.
