Edward J Dlugos, 93, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was born on March 28, 1930, in Standard Shaft, the son of the late John and Veronica (Onarik) Dlugos. Edward was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Westinghouse in Trafford after many years. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of Our Lady of Grace in Greensburg, the Hecla Sportsman's Club and the AM Vets. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Nalepa) Dlugos; his children, Cynthia Stewart, and husband, Robert, of N.C., Mark Dlugos, and wife, Susan, of Brookville and Jeffrey Dlugos, and wife, Janice, of Greensburg; his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Harmuth, of Washington, Pa. and Margaret Appleby, of Mammoth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew, his brothers, Joseph, Stephen, John and Andrew. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Sep 14 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. in the C Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A Blessing service will be held on Friday, Sep 15 at 10 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association. The family suggests donations be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
