Edward (Ed) James Tote, 55, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1967, in Baltimore, the son of the late Dorothy (Molten) Tote. Ed was a graduate of Shippensburg University, where he played as a linebacker on a football scholarship. He retired after serving 20 years as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. Ed was also an avid Penn State Football and Steelers fan. Ed is survived by his beloved children, Morgan and Brady Tote, both of North Huntington; Dawn Tote, mother of his children, of North Huntington; his former mother-in-law Sally Stroker (Big Sal); his loving friend, Marcy Yonkey; and his many friends who he called his family. He is also survived by his two loyal furry companions, Lambert and Blue. His dogs meant the world to him, and they were always there to comfort when he needed it the most. A celebration of Life will be held at one of Ed's favorite hangouts, Primanti Brothers in Greensburg, on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 5pm. Memorial contributions may be made to blueH.E.L.P. honoring the service of law enforcement officers who died by suicide (bluehelp.org).
