Eleanor J (Mayerchek) Smith

Eleanor J Smith, 98, of Youngwood, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. She was born on November 13, 1927, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Giron) Mayerchek. Eleanor was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Youngwood and a former member of the Hempfield Garden Club. She is survived by her loving daughter, Renee L. Bompiani, and her husband, Tony, of Greensburg; her beloved seven grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, Gerald D. Smith Jr., her daughter, Pamela Jean Martin, her grandson and her sister, Betty Kettering. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 5, from 11 AM - 1 PM, with a service to follow, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood.
