Etta A Roderick, 86, of Youngwood, passed away on Sunday February 23, 2025. She was born on February 23, 1939, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late David and Kathleen (McCall) Derr. Prior to retirement, she worked for Macy's Department Store. She also volunteered as an election poll worker. Etta was Catholic by faith and was a member of Holy Cross Church in Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck Roderick, her daughter, Debbie Dainty, her son, John Wilk, her grandchild, Toni Dainty, her brother, Sam Derr, and her brother-in-law, Donald Martz. Etta is survived by her children, Ruth Konchak, and her husband, Steve, of North Huntingdon, David Wilk, and his wife, Kerri, of Forbes Road, Kevin Wilk, and his wife, Debbie, of Greensburg; her stepchildren, Steven Roderick, and his wife, Michelle, of Massachusetts and Mari-Ann Sanches, and her husband, David, of Chicago; her grandchildren Jenny (Kashif), Lori, Angie (David), Justin (Melissa), Robin, Amber (Derek), Brandi (Garrett), Tiffany, Zachary, Erika (Natty), Molly (Jason), Kristin (Chris), and David (Darina); her numerous great grandchildren; her siblings Carolyn Martz and Nora Hubble; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Derr; her many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Oreo. Etta resided at Westmoreland Manor where she felt the amazing love and care from all of the staff. Especially the fourth floor who always made her feel special and at home. A special thank you to Bridges Hospice who assisted with her end-of-life care. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment to follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
