George E. Wineman, 91, of Youngwood, died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born January 5, 1933, a son of the late Harry and Margaret (Pyle) Wineman. George was a 1950 graduate of Greensburg High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. As a truck driver, he started with B & P Trucking and later became co-owner of ABE Trucking. George was also a lifelong farmer. He attended Zion Lutheran Church in Greensburg. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara (Crusan) Wineman; five children, Scott (Amy) Wineman, Kathy (Mike) Emanuel, Lisa (Brian) Chaffee, Laurie Wineman, and Mark (Connie) Wineman; eight grandchildren, Josh Emanuel, Alex Emanuel, Matthew Wineman, Caitlyn Thomas (Billy), Marlie Dietz, Jack Dietz, Abby Wineman, and Jacob Wineman; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Wineman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Wineman and Marge Fullerton; brothers, Jake Wineman and Fred (Shirley) Wineman; and son-in-law, Mike Emanuel. As per George’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
