Helen J (Dulkis) Smith

Helen J Smith, 96, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday January 8, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1928, in Arona, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Korpal) Dulkis.  Prior to retirement, Helen worked at Seaton Hill College Sisters of Charity and was an in-home personal caregiver.  She also enjoyed being outside tending to her garden and being with her beloved cat. Her favorite way to spend time was being with her family. Helen is survived by her loving children, Karen Bronick, of Strongstown, Joanne Zink, and husband, Joseph, of Madison, Arlene Senger, and husband, Robert, of Greensburg, Timothy Smith, and wife, Tracy, of Mapleton, UT., Cheryl West, and husband, Thomas, of Zelienople, Ruth Bendel. and husband, Patrick, of Lebanon, OH., Lillian Harris, of Hershey, and Audrey Dorn, and husband, Scott, of Mars, Pa. Helen is also survived by her beloved 24 grandchildren; her 30 plus great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Smith and her sons, Charles Smith and James Smith. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 4-7 PM in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 13 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
