James "Jim" Morgan Obituary

James "Jim" E. Morgan Sr., 88, of Youngwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family He was born on June 13, 1933, in Wolf Creek, WV., the son of the late Edward and Shirley (Gwinn) Morgan. Jim was a graduate of Youngwood High School Class of 1952 and was an Army Veteran. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 68 years, Lois V. (Cowan) Morgan; his children, James E. Morgan Jr. (Darla), of Greensburg, David E. Morgan (Karen), of Greensburg and Sandra L. Stashick (Randy), of Huntsville, AL.; grandchildren, Ryan Morgan (Stephanie) and Morgan Martin (Stewart); great grandchildren, Oliver and Cameron Morgan, and Stella James and Sadie Grace Martin; and his brother Robert Morgan of Youngwood. Jim was preceded in death by a brother, William Morgan (Navy) and his siter, Carrie Rudiselle. Jim loved to hunt and fish, was always good for a story or two and belonged to Youngwood Sportsmans Club, Hecla Slovak-American Beneficial & Sportsmans Club and Mount Pleasant American Legion Post 446. He retired from DME Company, Youngwood. The Family extends their deep appreciation and special thank you to the staff at Mountain View Senior Living and Three Rivers Hospice for their compassionate and exceptional care during his time of need. As per Jim's request, there will be no public viewing or visitation.
