It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jean M Crosby, 79, of Youngwood, announce her passing on Friday September 22, 2023. She was born on October 27, 1943, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (O'Bryan) Murray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Crosby Sr. and her brothers, Robert and Kenneth Murray. She is survived by her children, Glenn Crosby, and wife, Tracy, of Leetonia, OH. and Tracey Kurtiak, and husband, Neal, of Greensburg; her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Abby Angiuli, and husband Michael, Cameron Crosby, and wife Liz, Brandon Smith, Neal Tre Kurtiak and Lea Smith; her great grandchild that she would have adored, Emilia Angiuli. Jean is also survived by her sister and best friend, Maryann Swezey. Jean was blessed to be a part of the Crosby and Murray families and had many brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School and played the trumpet in the band. She was a devout Catholic and attended Holy Cross Church in Youngwood. She was a sweet and loving wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, crocheting, bowling and watching the Steelers and Penguin games at the A&B Club where she was a member. Jean will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the administrations and staff from Easy Living and Heritage Hospice for the amazing and compassionate care.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, from 11-1 PM, with a blessing service to follow, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
