Jennifer Vukovich Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor, Jennifer Vukovich. Jen suffered from addiction for many years. During her recent years of sobriety, she received her Associates Degree in Social Work at WCCC with high honors and was presently enrolled in the Bachelors Program at PennWest University, also in Social Work, where she excelled. She was a well-respected and much-loved server at Applebee’s where she could be seen with a huge smile on her face ready to greet you and offer you friendly and personal service. She recently became a Client Coordinator in her social work field as an advocate for addicts where she put others needs above her own. It is in her passing that others will live on and her strong desire to help others will finally be fulfilled. Her wishes to be an organ donor have already been put to beneficial use. Jen’s huge smile and even bigger laugh will be seen and heard for years to come!

Jen is preceded in death by many loved ones including both sets of Grandparents, many aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly, and one of her best friends and great source of comfort, her little dog Chico.

She is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Anna Daversa Vukovich and Daniel Vukovich, her brothers whom she was proud of, Nicholas Vukovich and his wife, Justyne (Falbo), and Lukas Vukovich and his girlfriend, Maddi Scozio, and her precious and loyal furry friend, Dozer. Aunts, Uncles, Godparents, cousins were all a great source of strength to her during her time of need and will continue to provide support to the family. She is also survived by her Applebee’s family, loving friends, caring neighbors, and her counselor of many years, along with countless others too numerous to mention.

In honor of her life, there will be a viewing at McCauley funeral home in Youngwood on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Tim Phillips, Director of the Overdose Task Force, will speak at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 am and all are welcome to attend. A funeral service will be held at the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery immediately following where she will be laid to rest alongside her grandparents, Jennie and James Daversa.

Thank you to the team at the Excela Health ICU 6th floor doctors and nurses. Never have we experienced a more compassionate and devoted team of healthcare professionals. And most importantly, we wish to thank CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education) for their role in helping Jen to live on and to fulfill her wishes to help others.
