John R Cullen, 92, of Youngwood, passed away on Sunday January 17, 2021 He was born on August 20, 1928 in Youngwood, the son of the late Myles and Elza (Blackson) Cullen. John was a US Marine Veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired from Robertshaw after many years. He was an avid enthusiast of the latest technology. He was always inquisitive on how things worked. He loved all new cars and motorcycles. He and his friends could always be found outside of New Stanton Sheetz on their motorcycles reminiscing and telling old stories. He is survived by his companion and friend Bonnie Neiderhiser of New Stanton and his beloved puppy Bonnie; his daughters, Sandy Newhouse of Hopwood and Susan Trout of New Stanton; his three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his lifelong friend Wayne Brinker of Armbrust. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Cullen and Dick Cullen. Friends will be recieved on Thursday, January 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. There will be a graveside service on Friday, January 22, at noon in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Heritage Hospice for their care and compassion they gave to John.
