John R. Meneely

John R. "GGpa" Meneely, 89, of Greensburg, died Tuesday December 21, 2021. He was born July 28, 1932 in Punxsutawney. a son of the late Roy Meneely and Emma Altman King Meneely and a stepson of the late Pearl Pentz Meneely. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Navy. He received his teaching degree from Indiana State Teachers College. His MBA from IUP. John was the CFO for Pittsburgh Tube for 18 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of Armbrust Wesleyan Church. He survived by his loving wife of 66 years Janice Simbeck Meneely. His sons Jon Meneely of Butler, Don Meneely & wife Carolyn, of Hunker, Granddaughters Jennifer Meneely Mitchell & husband Brian-Scottdale, Jessica Meneely Wachter & husband Jacob of Occoquan VA, Dannielle Meneely Wells & husband Nicholas of Butler PA, Jeremy Stoner & wife Dominic of Mt Pleasant, Melanie Altman & husband Roger of Greensburg, Great grandchildren Lillian, Landen, Madison, Payton, Laina, LJ, Emmilia, Jameson, Evelyn, Magnolia and Adeline. A sister Dorothy Smith of Palm Beach FL. Many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandson Matthew Meneely, four brothers Robert, Donald, Dale, and Roy. His sister Ruth. As well as many loving brothers and sister in laws. Friends will be received at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home inc. Youngwood PA. Thursday December 23, 2021 from 4:00pm till 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held Friday December 24, 2021 at Armbrust Wesleyan Church from 10:00am till 11:00am. There will be a funeral service at 11am at church. Interment to follow at Greenridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Armbrust Wesleyan Church.
