John C Tonecha Jr

John C Tonecha Jr, 76, of New Stanton, passed away on Monday February 15, 2021. He was born on February 5, 1945 in McKeesport, the son of the late John and Ann (Sliss) Tonecha. John was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in Vietnam; he retired from Westinghouse where he was in charge of repairing and refueling nuclear devives. He was an avid enthusiast of Ham Radio, N3AVR and a member of the NRA. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Totzke) Tonecha; his children, Alicia Gribbin and husband, Tim, of Youngwood, Amy Beck and husband, Dave, of Long Grove, IL. and Amanda Giron and husband, Jeff, of Janesville, WI.; his grandchildren, Sarah, Molly, Ellie, Abby, Madeline, Matilda and AJ. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother Michael Tonecha. Friends will be recieved on Wednesday, February 17, from 4-7 pm in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. Due to the pandemic, a limited number of people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time. Masks must be worn and social distance must be maintained.
