John M Vargosko

John M Vargosko, 76 years, of Latrobe, Pa. passed away on Saturday March 20, 2021 following a long illness, surrounded by family. He was born July 25, 1944 to the late John Vargosko Sr and Mary Lee (DeMangone) Vargosko. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Williams) Vargosko; daughters, Terri L and Steven F Marino of Haddonfield, NJ and Kelly L Pruss and Dreux Pellis of Greensburg; his sister, Victoria McGowan of Murrysville; his five loving grandchildren, Steven Maxwell, Samuel John, Grace Anne Marino; Jake and Zackary John Pruss. He is also survived by his sister in laws, Judith Nesbitt and Debbie Allegro, along with several nieces and nephews. John had a passion for golf, fine cigars, Elvis and his family. He enjoyed sitting on the porch with a cigar and chatting with neighbors. John was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A special thank you to Excela Hospice, nurse and "Buddy" Amber Mauck. Honoring John's wishes there will be no public viewing. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Vincent Basilica on April 9, 2021 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Excela Hospice in memory of John.
