Kathy L (Walthour) Poole

Kathy L Poole, 74, of Greensburg, passed away at her home, on Tuesday March 31, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1951, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Hays) Walthour. Kathy graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1969. She loved going to craft shows, flea markets, reading, doing word search puzzles, swimming and going on leisurely rides with her husband, Rick, in their Beamer car. She especially loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her brothers, infant Rodney A. Walthour, Robert E. "Bambi" Walthour II, Paul E. "Little" Walthour, and her sister, Patricia A. Gunther. She is survived by her loving husband, of 40 years, Richard Poole; her two daughters, Julie Tarr (Paul Jr.), of Youngwood and Michelle Evans, of Herminie. Kathy is also survived by her grandson, Michael Van Morrison (Fiancé Angela), of Herminie, and her great grandson, Wyatt Van Morrison, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on, Thursday, April 2, from 3-8 PM, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. The funeral service is private. The family extends deep appreciation to Brenda Toth for her special care, support and love for our family. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Bridges Hospice for their compassionate care in Kathy's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
