Lewis D Pritchard

Lewis Pritchard, 89, of Greensburg passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was originally from Harrisville WV, where he will be laid to rest. He was born November 27th, 1934, the son of the late Glenn and Louise Pritchard. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Connie Pritchard, his brother Larry Pritchard, and his sister-in-law Sue Pritchard, all of Harrisville WV. He will be deeply missed by those he has left behind. He was the beloved father of three daughters, Kim McGinnis (Dale), Debbie Edwards (Mike), and Melissa Stanley (Dave), all of Youngwood, and the beloved grandfather to seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and finished his service in 1961 as an Airman First Class. Throughout his life, Lewis had several passions including vacations to Myrtle Beach, trips to Disney World, collecting Beanie Babies, and watching Nascar with his cherished wife. However, his greatest passion was his family, whom he loved deeply. He often called his loved ones just to chat and always ended the call by telling them, “You make sure you take care of yourselves now.” Those were even some of his final words. He was affectionately known as “Papaw” and will be missed immensely by those he has left behind. Family and friends will be received on Wed. November 6, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, with a funeral service at 7:30 pm in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood.
