Lorraine D. Overly

Lorraine D. (Shifko) Overly – 86 of Greensburg passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 19, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Michael and Tillie (Mandziara) Shifko.  Lorraine was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-laws Leonard (Shirley) Shifko, Robert Shifko, Richard Shifko, Donald (Patricia) Shifko, Ernest Shifko and sister and brother-in-laws Bernice (Ronald) Trout and Wayne Stefaniak.  Lorraine was happily married for 64 years to her loving and devoted husband, Robert E. Overly.  Lorraine was a very loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her ever-grateful children, Robert A. (Wendy) Overly and Sandy (Frank) Dalicandro both of Greensburg.  Lorraine will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Matthew Dalicandro, Jennifer Knudtson, Cody Dalicandro, Cassie (Del) Nolfi and Carlee Overly, all of Greensburg and three great-grandchildren Zachary Knudtson, Cameron Knudtson and Evelyn Marie Nolfi.  In addition to her husband and children, Lorraine is survived by brother and sister-in-law Carl (Connie) Shifko of Jeannette, PA and sister, Diane Stefaniak of Somers, CT, two sisters-in-laws Kathleen Shifko and Angelina Shifko, both of Greensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.  Lorraine loved expressing her love by sharing her passion for cooking and baking.  She was a member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg, PA.  Our thankful hearts and abundant gratitude are extended to her caregiver and all the wonderful nurses and nurses aids at Advantage Hospice who are all God’s angels!  Memorial contributions can be made to Advantage Hospice.  Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of McCauley Funeral Home in Youngwood, PA.  At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service.
