Mary Hoffman Obituary

Mary Jane Woodcock-Hoffman, 98, of Chesapeake, Va., formerly of Hunker, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1926, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Freet) Woodcock. Mary Jane was a former member of the New Stanton Assembly of God. She was a talented musician and loved to play the organ at numerous churches in the area. She also made CDs of her music for her family and friends. For many years, she enjoyed being a responsible breeder and trainer of Poodles. Mary Jane will be loved and remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, David Hoffman, of Morgantown, W.Va., Dayna Cooper and husband, Timothy, of Chesapeake, Va., and Doug Hoffman and wife, Helen, of Palmer, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Earl R. Hoffman and her son, Rick Hoffman. There will be a Concluding Service on Tuesday, December 10, at 1 pm. in the Chapel at the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, 150 East Side Drive, Greensburg.
