Matthew E Hurst

Matthew E Hurst, 46, of New Stanton, passed away on Wednesday December 8, 2021. He was born on May 7, 1975, in Greensburg, the son of William and Ruth (Armstrong) Hurst of New Stanton. Matthew worked as a Detail Manager for Meegan Ford. He was well known for his attention to detail in every situation. Every project he took on, he made sure it was done right. Matthew also found happiness being in nature. He enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach and to his family cabin, where he watched all of the wildlife. Wherever there was a deer, bear, or eagle, Matthew would spot it first. He took great care of his cars, trucks and motorcycles. Above all, Matthew loved to spend time with his family. No matter the situation or project, Matthew would be there to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by his loving parents, William and Ruth Hurst; his brother, William (Patty) Hurst of New Stanton and his sister, Marsha (Clint) Long of Greensburg. Mathew is also survived by his beloved nephews, Liam Hurst and Jacob Long. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 10, from 2-4 & 6-8 in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 11 Am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery.
