Ophelia (Martinez) Murray

Ophelia Murray, 96, of Jeannette, formerly of Youngwood, passed away on Friday February 10, 2023. She was born on August 14, 1926, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Martinez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Joseph Murray; her sons, David Murray and Allen Murray; one brother and three sisters. Ophelia is survived by her children, Raymond Murray, and wife, Jackie, of Jeannette, Carol Windsor, and husband, Alan, of Farmington, NC. and James Murray, and wife, Cindy, of Summersville, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie, Daniel, Grahm and Weston. She was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Bruno Church in Greensburg. Ophelia loved to help others. She enjoyed volunteering at Westmoreland Hospital and Seton Hill Caritas Christi. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 10 AM in St. Bruno Catholic Church, 1715 Poplar St. Greensburg. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
