Patricia J Cassa, 89, of Youngwood, passed away on Monday October 27, 2025, surrounded by her children, in Concordia at Weatherwood. She was born on March 7, 1936, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late Michael A. and Thelma Rae (Trout) Lacey. Prior to retirement, Pat worked as a receptionist at Drs. Lannon & Long's office in Youngwood. She was Catholic by Faith and was a member of Holy Cross Church in Youngwood. She loved to sing in the choir at church and enjoyed volunteering at the Westmoreland County Food Bank and at Stanwood Elementary. Above all, Pat enjoyed spending time and taking care of her family. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ronald A. Cassa, and wife, Chrystal, of New Stanton, and Cathey Ann Cassa-Hill, and husband, Timothy, of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Courtney, Zachary (Nancy), Noah (Daelyn), Gabi, Emma, Ryan (Jillian) and Lauren Puzzuto (Chris); her beloved great grandchildren, Macon, Harper, Rylie Paige, Leo, Carson, Austin, Stella Rae, Palmer James, and two on the way. she is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schehr, of Youngwood, and her brother-in-law, Joseph Cassa, and wife, Sallie, of Landsdale, Pa. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death her beloved husband, of over 60 years, Ronald R. Cassa; her siblings, Kathleen Rae Govern, Michael Lacey and Daniel Lacey. A memorial mass to Celebrate her life will he held on Saturday, November 8, at 11 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 711 Depot Street, Youngwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Type 1 Diabetes Research Center.
