Robert E. Hassinger

Robert E. Hassinger 58 of Mt Pleasant died Saturday February 10, 2024 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born August 26, 1965 in Greensburg. A son of Kay (Whipkey) Hassinger of Southwest Greensburg and the late Dale E. Hassinger.  He served in the US Navy for 24 years until retiring as a Chief petty officer. He worked as a compliance coordinator for BHE of Delmont. He is a former member of Southwest Greensburg, Youngwood and Bovard fire departments. He is survived by his wife Terri H. Hassinger, three children Chance Hassinger, Bret Hassinger and Hayley Hassinger, a sister Debra Madia, a mother-in-law Heather Leggett Neal (Tom), three brother in laws Jeremy Shawley, Jonathan Leggett, and Jacob Leggett(Michela) and a number of nieces and nephews. Two dogs Dutch and Shelby and a cat Cheeto. friends will be received at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc Youngwood Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11am at the Funeral Home. Military funeral rites will be accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Assoc.
