Rodney J Pittavino, 78, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born on May 18, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late John and Mabel (Bowen) Pittavino. Rodney was a graduate of Sewickley High School and Geneva College. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Greensburg. Prior to retirement, Rodney worked for 25 years as the Vice President of Lending at First National Bank of PA. He was a longtime member and treasurer of the former New Stanton-Youngwood Rotary Club. Rodney was also a car enthusiast, an avid gardener and a dedicated husband and father. Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Burkholder) Pittavino; his son, Alex R. Pittavino, of North Huntingdon; his brother, Bentley Pittavino, and his wife, Ellen, of Hookstown, Pa.; his brother-in-law, Mark Weigner, of Sterling, AK.; his sister-in-law, Jeanne Pittavino, of Cranberry; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Weigner and his brother, Stanley Pittavino. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 4-7 PM., in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, from 10-11 AM., with a service to follow, at the First Baptist Church, 1228 Brinkerton Road, Greensburg. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery in Belle Vernon.
