Rosemary Betty Sokel

Rosemary Betty Goodwin-Sokel, 98, of Youngwood, passed away on Thursday September 15, 2022. She was born on January 23, 1924, in Curtisville, Pa., the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (Maurer) Sokel. Betty was a graduate of Greensburg High School, Class of 1943. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Robertshaw Controls as a Computer Operator. Betty was Catholic by faith and was a member of Holy Cross Church, in Youngwood and belonged to the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She is survived by numerous cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 AM, in Holy Cross Church, 711 Depot St., Youngwood, with Father Rogelio Rodriguez officiating. Interment to follow at St. Florian Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
