Roxanne (Hoburn) Hayes, 69, of Hunker, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Westmoreland Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 15, 1954, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Paul and Ann (Markle) Hoburn. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Paul V. Hoburn. Roxanne is survived by her loving husband, Benson Hayes Jr.; her son, Benson Hayes III (Michaela) and her two most adored grandchildren, Dixie Rose Hayes and Benson Hayes IV. Also surviving Roxanne is her brother, Thomas Hoburn (Jeanne) and their daughter, Tahlyn and fiancé, Patrick Snyder, her brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Roxanne is now reunited with her loving cats, Puddy, Junior and Stinky. She was a member, for many years, of the Hempfield Hunt Club and the East Huntingdon Fireman's Club, where she had many, many friends. Roxanne was also the former Mayor of Hunker borough. Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roxanne's memory to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
