Sara L Elder

Sara Elder, 41, of Salina, passed away peacefully Friday, October 3rd, surrounded by family.  Sara was born on November 1st, 1983, to Joseph and Sandra Elder. She is survived by her husband, Jason Schwartzmiller, step-daughter, Kelsi Schwartziller, her brother, Bill and wife Katie, her sister Katie (Cody Cyktor), and her beloved pets, Xena, Isabella, Mikey, and Tweek. Sara was an avid Steeler and Penguin fan. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, vacationing in Florida, and sharing laughs with family and friends. She worked in various positions specializing in end-of-life care, including many senior care homes, dementia care, and most recently with Bridges Hospice. She dedicated her life to the care of others, and approached every life she touched with compassion and professionalism. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by numerous friends and family members, including her aunt, Nila Clemens, best friend, Domer Burk, cousins Kara Burnsworth and her children, lifelong friend, Jessica Quist, and the endless lives she has touched through her career. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday,  October 7, from 2-8 PM, in the C Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc, 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood.
