Shirley L (Doerr) Baker, 88, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 22, 2025. She was born in Pittsburgh on September 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Roy and Catherine (Golembiewski) Doerr. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lewis Baker; her sister, Marlene Cole, and stepfather, Steve Zawatski. She is survived by her sons, Tom Shean, and his wife, Patty, of Greensburg, and Don Shean, and his wife, Linda, of Latrobe; her grandchildren, Caitlin (Niki) Neall, Carly Shean (Fiancé Brett Briski), Carter Shean, and Jared Shean; and her great granddaughters, Mariah, Nea, and Amara Neall. Prior to retirement, Shirley worked for National Bank of the Commonwealth as a courier. She also worked a poll worker at the Midway St. Clair Fire Department for a number of years. Shirley's love of her family and friends will always be fondly remembered. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. The time spent with them, whether sleepovers. Superbowl parties, lunch dates, camping trips, meant the world to her. Shirley loved everything about the Christmas season, often extending it to the twelve "weeks" of Christmas, in order to entertain. Shirley loved to put up her extensive Christmas Village in her home, where she would invite everyone over to enjoy it. She also attended the Hope Evangelical Methodist Church. She grew close to God over recent years as her health declined. Her family is forever grateful to her special friend, Diane, who helped her greatly through that decline. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, that any donations on Shirley's behalf, be made to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org.
