Thomas J Garvas

Thomas J. Garvas, 73, of Youngwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. He was born on November 20, 1949, in Jeannette, the son of the late Joseph and Ella (Fetsko) Garvas. Tom served in the U.S. Army Reserve for many years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman. Tom loved to be out in nature, he enjoyed hunting and going fishing. He was a member of the VFW Post #211, Youngwood, the Hempfield Hunt Club, Hecla Sportsmans, the A&B Club and the Roosevelt Club. Tom is survived by his beloved daughter, Kimberly Garvas-Wall, and husband, James, of Wake Forest, NC.; his grandchildren, Aiden and Alayna and his sister, Carol Swenson, and husband, Bob, of Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela (Marcon) Garvas. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan 21, at 11 AM in the Chapel at Twin Valley Memorial Park, 483 Athena Drive, Delmont.
