Verda C. Hafer, 79 of Hunker, Died May 23, 2022 at Frick Hospital in Mt Pleasant. She was born July 9, 1942 in Hunker a daughter of the late Jacob and Mildred (Albright) Trout. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Cara Sue Hafer in 1987, four brothers J Edward Trout, Hurley Trout, Robert Trout, and Wesley Trout, Two sisters Mildred Rhodes and her twin Verna Trout. A great granddaughter Penelope Jane Hafer in 2022. She was a retired Bank manager from First Commonwealth Bank. She was a member of the Open Door Church in Connellsville. She was a former member of the New Stanton/Youngwood Rotary. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and coloring. She is survived by her husband William D Hafer III, two children Caroline E. Rossman & husband Paul (Scott)-Ruffdale, Dr William J. Hafer & wife Dr Lisa-New Stanton, 6 grandchildren Paul Rossman, Billie Jo Rossman, William K. Hafer, Ben Hafer, Kristen Fuller, and Jacob Tate, and the apple of her eye her 7 great grandchildren Cecilia, Lena, Oakley, Lennox, Brooklyn, Mia and Landon. Friends will received at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home, Youngwood, Wednesday May 25, 2022 From 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday May 26, 2022 at 11:00am Interment to follow Mt Lebanon Cemetery in Tarrs.
