Walter “Tom” Skowronek, 66, of Youngwood, died Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born May 10, 1954 in Greensburg, a son of the late Walter and LaVon (Takach) Skowronek. A lifelong resident of Youngwood, he was active in the Fire Department. Tom was formerly employed by Millstein Industries, was the owner of the former Pervenlisk Plumbing and Heating and retired as a steamfitter with local #449. He was also the owner of the former Skowronek Old World Sausage. Tom was a life member of Youngwood Sportsmen’s and the National Turkey Federation and a member of RuffsDale Gun Club, Hecla Sportsmen’s and the NRA. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Kathie Rae (Craig) Skowronek; step children, Amy Lynn DeLeva and husband Todd and Robert DeLeva and wife Kelly; twin granddaughters, Gwen and Payton DeLeva; brother, Gilbert Skowronek and wife, Kay; sister, Patricia Ann Bales; nieces and nephews, Steven and John Skowronek, Katie Suarez, Elizabeth and Tim Bales, and Scotty and Michael Watson; and his faithful dog, Koda. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Skowronek and a sister, Mary Kaye Watson. There will be no visitation or services. The family would like to thank the Fresenius Clinic in Murrysville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youngwood Library. Arrangements entrusted to the C.
