William Myers Obituary

William C. "Bud" Myers, 97, of New Stanton, passed away Thursday February 4th 2021 at Westmoreland Hospital. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Bud was a life-long member of St. Marks Lutheran church in New Stanton, serving on church council and taught Sunday School for 45 years. He also was a charter member of New Stanton Fire Department, along with being instrumental with the creation of New Stanton borough. He delivered meals on wheels for many years with his wife, Betty. He his preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty (Loucks) Myers; his daughter, Lynne Myers and sisters Ruth and Dorothy. Bud is survived by his son William (Susan) Myers of Hartville, OH; his daughter Linda (Warren) Ballew of New Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Billy (Joanna) Myers, Julie (Chris) Myers, Jennifer (Adam) Pearce, Bryan, Alaina, Tyler (Amy) Ballew and Becky (Shawn) Quatse; his great-grandchildren, Juniper, Joanna, Olivia, Jackson, Conner and Whitley. He is also survived by his brother, James (Jane) Myers of New Stanton. Friends will be received on Saturday, February 6, from 5-6 pm. in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th St. Youngwood. The Family would like to thank the staff of Easy Living Estates for their care and support. Bud considered them his second family, especially through this last year.
