William E Shaneyfelt

William E. Shaneyfelt, 86, of New Stanton, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1936, in Clarksville, the son of the late William and Margaret Shaneyfelt. William served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1957. He was a member of Armbrust Wesleyan Church, the Roosevelt Club, SNPJ Club and was an avid pool player, having played in many pool leagues. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Gregory Shaneyfelt, and wife, Debbie, of Ruffs Dale; his grandsons, William Jesse and Allen Shaneyfelt and his wife, Holly; his numerous great-grandchildren and his sister, Linda Pinkney, of Marianna, Pa. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie (Dvorcak) Shaneyfelt; his son, William J. Shaneyfelt; his brothers, Thomas, Gerald "Chick" and Robert "Bob" Shaneyfelt. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Pinkney. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Military Honors will be accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association.
